Forest paths and trails that aren't overcrowded
While the cycling trails in the tourist centres are all-too-often jam packed with bikers competing to come first, if you take a summer holiday in the Lammertal you will be surprised at how pleasant mountain biking can be without the competitive pressure. Cycle along the forest paths, roads and gravel at your own pace and without fiercely competitive fellow bikers. All of the mountain bike trials in the Tennengau can be navigated with the hardtail without any problems. |Kresl route with Mahdalm or Loseggalm||23 km||810 m||easy (without Mahdalm/Loseggalm version) - medium||An attractive tour of the Neubachtal and up to the Mahdalm or Loseggalm in the foothills of the Bischofsmütze (asphalt and forest paths). Descent via Astauwinkel and back via Annaberg. Suitable for E bikes!|
|Neubachtal route||33 km||781 m||medium||An extensive tour via St. Martin, Niedernfritz, via the Neuberg into the Neubachtal and over Lungötz back to the Lämmerhof (asphalt and forest paths). Suitable for E bikes!|
|Platten route||28 km||881 m||medium||Similar to the Neubachtal tour, but below the Gerzkopf with views of St. Martin on the way back (asphalt/forest paths). Suitable for E bikes!|
|Edtalm route||32 km||758 m||medium (short but difficult trail)||Along the Lammer river via Annaberg and then up to the Edtalm in Dachstein West. The descent leads along a tough, 500 meter long trail down to Annaberg. Mostly asphalt and forest roads. The downhill trail is not suitable for those on E-bikes, who should return the same way as they came.|
|Schwarzenegg route||17 km||785 m||medium||Uphill via St. Martin to the Schwazeneggalm with superb panoramic views (asphalt/forest paths). The Sitteralm version is also possible here. Suitable for E bikes!|

The Tennengau region of enjoyment is known far and wide for its atmospheric lodges with their panoramic mountain views and regional specialities.
