Ski Amade is one of Europe's largest winter sports areas. It comprises of a total of 28 ski resorts in the provinces of Salzburg and Styria.

For the regions of Salzburger Sportwelt, Schladming-Dachstein, Gastein, Hochkönig and Großarltal, there is just one ski pass, which costs no more than a ticket for just one ski resort. The ski pass to Ski Amade includes access to 860km of trails for all skill levels with 270 modern lifts. A 6-day ski pass, for example, costs around €200 in high season for adults and about €100 for children.

Beginners will find just as much terrain in the five ski regions, as experts, holidaying families or snowboarders. In numbers this translates to 280km of easy slopes, 483km of intermediate slopes and about 97km of difficult slopes. If you want to be at high altitude then Ski Amade is the perfect choice for you: the slopes here range up to an altitude of 2,700 metres.
More than 260 quaint and cosy huts and mountain restaurants are located within the ski resorts. Just remember that once you get above 1,000 metres above sea level everything is informal and comfortable, you can leave the formalities at home. Those who have exhausted themselves on the wide slopes can relax in the huts and try savoury or sweet specialities.
